Barceda RUN 5K/10K Run/Walk and 1 mile run!

Saturday, April 30 at 8:00 am - CMH Medical Offices Building

THE COMPETITION

Event options include a 1 mile run, 5K Walk, 5K Run, and 10K Run. Awards for 5 and 10K events  will be awarded three deep in the following age divisions, male & female: 14 & under; 15‐19; 20‐29; 30‐39; 40‐49; 50‐59; 60‐69; 70 & up. Top overall male and female will be awarded.  1 mile awards will include male and female winners for the categories: age 12 and under, 13 years through 18, 18 and over.

REGISTRATION

$15 pre‐registration (must be postmarked by April 22), or $20 day of race. Registration fees are non‐refundable. The first 100 registrants will receive a FREE t‐shirt.

Thanks for a Successful FunRun!

The Second Annual Barceda 5K/10K FunRun was held on May 1st, with the starting line behind the CMH Medical Building in Bolivar, MO.  There were 64 runners and walkers that participated in the event.  The fundraiser brought in over $9,500.  Barceda will use the funds for programs and services that support children and families in our service area.  All of Barceda’s programs are centered on the prevention of child abuse and neglect, domestic violence prevention/intervention, and positive youth development.

Barceda wishes to thank all of the participants and volunteers for their contribution and efforts in making this a very successful event.  We are all looking forward to see what next year brings!

Barceda Fun Run

Barceda Families is having an exciting fundraiser!  To help support our programs, we are having the second "Barceda Fun Run" in Bolivar on May 1st.

If you or anyone you know would like to help, we need runners, sponsors, and volunteers to help create a successful event.  You can also download a Flyer and post it to help promote the event.

• Runners/Walkers: To participate in the event, print, fill out, and send in a Runner Registration Form or register online at Active.com by clicking on the appropriate links (there is a small fee to cover the cost for online registration).
• Sponsors: If you or your business would like to support our programs by donating, Barceda has several levels of sponsorships available.  As a non profit, a tax deduction letter will be provided as well as oppurtunities for us to advertise your business through our website or on the back of a t-shirt.  The sponsorship deadlines for the t-shirt is April 15 to allow time for printing.  Please download and complete a Donor Packet and send it to Barceda Families, 100 E 11th St, Lamar, MO 64759.  The packet contains information on the event and sponsorship benefits.
• Volunteer: Barceda is always willing to accept those willing to volunteer for special events.  If you would like to volunteer to help at the run or for other Barceda events, please email us at info@barceda.org or contact us by phone at (417) 681-0065.

• Community Calendar - Check this out to see what is going on in our service area for all community members, our clients, and anyone else interested!  Event information as well as contant information is included to assist you in obtaining the information you need.
• Program Details - We are expanding our program information to make it easier for you to learn more about our services.  Each program has a basic summary and access to information regarding how we may be able to help your family, school or agency.
• FAQ's - Do you have some questions for us?  Check out our list and feel free to ask if you don't see an answer to your question.
• Blog - We have started a new blog that we are regularly updating with news, events, stories, and more.
• Getting Involved - We wanted to send a special thanks to our donors and supporters, as well as give others an oppurtunity to support our agency.  If you are interested in volunteering, mentoring, or assisting with program funding, see how you can get involved.
